Long term Beef Jerky Storage
 

Hello all,

I've got alot of time on my hands here at the house and I would like to put it to good use.

My idea is to stuff as much beef jerky into a 1 qt wide mouth mason jar, put in a o2 absorber, and vaccumn seal it. then put it in a paper sack and put it in a cool dark place.

How long do you think the shelf life of something like that would be?

If the shelf life is worth it. I would not mind doing it for any of you at a good price.

If you're going to go that far, why not go the rest of the way and make pemmican?

After about 2 yrs its still good for making bullion, but not good to look at it seems

why not just freeze it ... i make deer jerky every year . then i freeze it . it last forever
